ROLE: Screenwriter/Creative Executive

AUX Live is a streaming platform where users can watch live shows from their favorite artists in  the comfort of their own homes. Looking to expand the platform’s current offerings , the London ENT team turned its focus to developing storylines, scripts, and a full season of cultural news for the platform. We navigated casting agencies like Breakdown Express to hold auditions for a host. After receiving about 500 submissions, we narrowed the list down to 20 finalists with whom we held interviews. We selected a capable host and curated a pipeline for the effective producing, shooting, and editing of an 18-episode season.

With original content, along with a wide array of films, documentaries, and live concerts, we created a platform where entertainers can reach global audiences and fans can connect with their favorite stars from anywhere in the world.

Mission Statement

Deliver content that resonates with a population that loves entertainment and desires a connection with their favorite musicians and entertainers. AUX Live needs to offer more than purchased content — I will produce original content that is specific to AUX Live so as to develop a larger audience.

The Process

Our goal was to set the platform apart as a unique, game-changing, and competitive streaming service deserving of attention in the media industry. We aimed to target an audience consisting of people who love entertainment and want to connect with their favorite musicians and entertainers worldwide.

In order to expand our audience, I synchronized our release schedule of upcoming licensed content including documentaries, live concerts, and movies with corresponding social media advertisements and in-app announcements.

The platform featured hundreds of licensed digital titles accessible at any time – ranging from content from Elvis Presley to Snoop Dogg.

My partner and I also developed three AUX Live originals; two of which you can view in my work on live events (link). These events, the Hive Music Festival and Metro Boomin + Zack Bia Live, were live streamed and permanently added to the AUX Live streaming service.

My writing partner and I worked hard to create new original digital content to engage and keep our audiences hinged alongside all our licensed titles. I wrote scripts, developed storylines, and produced a full season of a cultural news show for the AUX Live platform.

Our third (and most exciting) original was an eighteen-episode news series. To appeal to AUX Live’s target audience, this series focused on cultural news specific to the entertainment and music industry. My partner and I wrote and directed this series with an aim to release episodes on a bi-weekly basis, for a period of nine weeks.

Before releasing the news series, we hired a camera team and searched for a host. We created a listing on Breakdown Express to initiate a casting call. We received submissions from about 500 applicants, sending preliminary scripts to select individuals and conducting interviews with the top candidates.

Once we found a suitable host, we provided her with a loose script while offering creative freedom to ensure the most natural pacing. From there, we shot a full season of 18 episodes of a cultural news show, where we curated a pipeline for effectively producing, shooting, and editing a news show to be released on the platform.

With a host and crew in place, production began and was released on consistent, bi-weekly release dates.

We created a platform where entertainers and visual creatives can reach global audiences, and fans can connect with their favorite stars no matter where they are. The AUX Live platform houses films, documentaries, live concerts, musical recordings, and original content, readily accessible to audiences at the click of a button. Viewers were left satisfied and likely to return on a weekly basis.
