Hive Music Festival

Project Overview

The Hive Music Festival initiated the permanent inclusion of live streamed events on AUX Live. With over 50 performances (featuring top artists like Post Malone and $uicide Boy$), the event development included casting calls and interviews for hosts as well as scriptwriting for fan and performer interview segments. The event brought in an influx of new viewers.

The Process

Hive Music Festival was the first original live event to air on AUX Live. The 50+ artist lineup featured some of the biggest artists in the rap community in a global experience.

Our goal was to create a streamed event allowing virtual fans to enjoy the experience of a sold out concert from the comfort of their own home. Our team collaborated with local production teams and organized technological resources within the festival grounds to ensure a smooth live streamed experience. Our system included various teams and hosts across three stages to guarantee uninterrupted streaming of content.

Casting calls were organized to find hosts within submitted selections from over 500 applicants. From there, we conducted interviews and chose three hosts that we felt had the best energy and reactability to quickly adapt to the dynamic nature of a live streamed event.

I personally edited all contract work as we settled on the three hosts.

During the event, the three hosts divided among the artists to conduct interviews and present intro/outros to their performances. I wrote over 50 scripts (specific to each artist) for the host and performer interviews. Along with artist interaction, it was important for me to incorporate the live audience into the virtual event. I developed ten more scripts to facilitate host and fan interactions consisting of interview questions and engaging games.

Additional scripts were written for on-site interviews with fans to take place throughout the festival grounds. These scripts included intros and outros for fan interaction segments and detailed questions and games to encourage interaction between hosts and fans at the live event, as well. Between the interview questions, fan interactions, and dynamic performances, the event ran smoothly, satisfied company executives, and was extremely well-received by virtual and in-person attendees.

Similar to the Hive Music Festival, this event was live streamed exclusively to AUX Live consumers. I worked to create an exciting experience for live and virtual fans. I organized casting calls for a host, coordinated the camera team and venue, and wrote scripts for interviews and introductions.

Attract a live and virtual audience for the Metro Boomin + Zack Bia Live event.

The Process

The concert took place at one of the most popular nightclubs in Los Angeles — Poppy Nightclub. We wanted to accurately capture the energy at this event in a way that our livestream audience could enjoy, as well.

After the enormous success of the Hive Music Festival, we decided to follow a similar format when organizing this event. However, the Metro Boomin + Zack Bia Live event focused on only two artists.

We used casting websites to hire an event host with the role of introducing the artists, performing intros and outros to book-end each performance, and interviewing fans. I wrote the scripts for interviews to take place both off-stage with the performers and outside as the attendees entered the venue.

The Outcome

After the Hive Music Festival event and the Zack Bia/Metro Boomin concert, live events were permanently included in the AUX Live show, having brought in a massive number of viewers. My input was instrumental in creating an interactive and engaging event. Our team’s seamless collaboration laid the groundwork for all future livestream stream live events on all our platforms.
